Hawksmoor is taking over one of London’s most beautiful dining rooms. Later this year, Hawksmoor St. Pancras will open in the Grade I listed masterpiece designed by Victorian Gothic Revival legend, Sir George Gilbert Scott. The restaurant will bring Hawksmoor’s famously convivial mix of quality steaks, seafood and cocktails to one of the most iconic railway stations in the world. Seating 95, with a private dining room and a unique chef’s table, Hawksmoor St. Pancras will open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.
Alongside the restaurant, Hawksmoor will also take on the building’s extraordinary high-ceilinged bar – a gloriously decorative, high-ceilinged space with an outdoor terrace, and DJ stage. It will be named The Martini Bar – a place for Londoners, visitors and travellers alike to toast special moments, arrivals and departures, and experience the best of the city.
“There are very few buildings that Huw and I have always spoken about as dream Hawksmoors, and this is one,” says co-founder Will Beckett. “As we approach the 20th anniversary of our first Hawksmoor restaurant, it feels perfect to be able to bring everything we’ve learned in London and beyond back to one of the most dramatic and gorgeous buildings in our hometown. Hopefully London will continue to feel as proud of Hawksmoor as we have always felt of London.”
“I’ve always loved working with incredible architectural heritage, and there are no finer buildings around,” says co-founder Huw Gott. “This feels perfect. It’s historic and full of life, a place where London and the world pass through every day. And what a history, and physical presence these spaces have – it’s incredibly exciting to have a setting like this for our newest Hawksmoor, and we’re loving thinking about what will go on the menu and drinks lists.”
One of London’s most storied buildings will very soon be home to Hawksmoor’s much-loved food and hospitality, and a stunning standalone bar — Hawksmoor St. Pancras and The Martini Bar.
